Beach

Today we went to the beach on the Gulf of Mexico. It was sweet. We were able to spend some time relaxing after a busy week. The weather was nice and sunny. We played frisbee, card games, swam in the sea, and collected seashells. It was a good time except basically everyone got sunburned. Thanks for all your continuing prayers.

The sunburns occurred despite a lecture by a pediatrician (to all beachergoers prior to departure) about the benefits of sunscreen, how to apply properly and how often to apply. :)

The beach was awesome. It was really warm and much clearer than back in maryland or new jersey. There were also sooooooooo many shells and stuff.

Chad, Kenton, Aaron, and I played soccer with a bunch of mexican peoples on the beach. They drew out a field and had bamboo sticks to mark where the goals were. and guess what!? WE BEAT THEM!!!!!!!!! haha. 4 to 3. It was really close. Chad scored 2, Aaron scored 1, and a mexican dude scored the other. Many of us also had assists.

But overall, the whole day was fun and everyone had a really good time.

The sun was great until the burning kicked in. Many of us got a nice burn. I have it all over my stomach. My back is burnt too. The Cassels have an aloe plant that works really well for sun burns. (mom I think we need one of these)

P.S. I actually used sun screen...
